In business since 1980; starting as Sports Graphics Services and rebranding as SGS Designs in 1996, we've helped schools, businesses, race teams, community organizations, family reunions, and neighbors make their message wearable through high-quality screen printing, embroidery, dye-sublimation, direct-to-film, and patchwork services.

MEET THE TEAM

Mark Avery - Owner & President

After his time as an in-flight medical technician with the U.S. Air Force, Mark went on to study Graphic Design at Hillsborough Community College, becoming the art director for a local sign maker before founding Sports Graphics Designs in 1980. With 55 years of experience in art creation and over 40 years in the apparel industry, Mark leads SGS Designs with a deep commitment to craftmanship, innovation and customer service. As Owner and President, he ensures that every project reflects the company's legacy of quality and attention to detail, from concept to delivery. 

 

Ryan Avery - Vice President & Embroidery

From spending his summers learning screen printing, artwork creation, and production as a young teen, Ryan Avery has grown into a leader known for his technical precision and customer-first approach. With 30 years of hands-on experience in embroidery and apparel decoration, he works closely with clients to explain the process, set clear expectations, and determine the best techniques for each project. Whether it's polos, button-ups, bags, or hats, Ryan makes sure every stitch is strong, sharp, and on-brand, blending artistry with attention to detail that reflects the SGS standard. 

 

Erica Berry - Screenprinting Production Manager

With a background in textile production, customer service, and administrative operations, Erica Berry plays a key role in keeping SGS Designs running smoothly. As screenprinting production manager, she brings a sharp logistical mind and a hands-on approach to every order. Erica oversees the entire screenprinting workflow, from scheduling and setup to final inspection; she ensures every project is completed on time, within spec, and to SGS quality standards. A problem solver and communicator by nature, Erica is also customer service at heart: striving to make every client feel confident, informed and valued throughout the process. 

 

Mike Denham - Owner / Technician at MAD DTF

With over 40 years experience in art creation, Mike began his journey with Sports Graphics Services in the 1980s before managing artwork production for major sports brands (Harley Davidson, NHL, Nascar, etc.) Today, through his company MAD DTF, Mike serves as our in-house expert which blends art and science to produce vibrant, long-lasting prints that are known for their durability with wash & wear, making them a popular choice. DTF is not only seamless with its production, but it can also be applied to various fabrics, including cotton, polyester and blends. Mike's expertise 100% ensures every DTF print be bold, accurate and instantly production-ready.
